Privacy policy

This policy explains how Vunio handles information when you visit this website and download our Android apps from it. Each app may explain its own data practices inside the app; where it does, that explanation applies to your use of the app.

You can browse this site and download every app without signing up. We don't ask for your name, email address or phone number. Staff accounts exist only for the people who manage the site.

When you download an APK, we record:

• which app and version you downloaded, and when;
• your approximate country, as reported by our hosting or network provider;
• the general type of device (for example Android, Windows or iOS), derived from your browser;
• the website that linked you here, if your browser shares it (domain only).

We do not store your IP address. To count unique downloads, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address and browser details combined with a secret that changes every day. The hash can't be reversed, and because the secret rotates daily it can't be used to follow you from one day to the next.

We use these statistics to understand which versions people install and to plan releases.

If you choose Allow analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure how pages are used, for example which pages lead to downloads. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and processes data on Google's servers under Google's privacy policy.

Until you allow it, Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode with analytics storage denied: no analytics cookies are set, and only limited, cookieless signals are sent. We don't use advertising features or share data for ads.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser; you'll be asked again on your next visit.

• Your analytics choice is kept in your browser's local storage so we don't ask on every page.
• Your language choice is kept in a cookie when you pick a language, so the site opens in that language next time.
• Google Analytics cookies are set only after you allow analytics.
• A session cookie is set only for staff who sign in to the admin area.

Like most websites, our hosting and network providers keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, request time and browser type) to deliver pages, prevent abuse and investigate security incidents. These logs are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.

We rely on a small number of providers to run this site, who process data on our behalf:

• website hosting and content delivery;
• cloud file storage for app downloads and images;
• a managed database for site content and download statistics;
• Google Analytics, if you allow it.

Some of these providers may process data outside your country. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Anonymous download statistics and security logs are based on our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving the service. Google Analytics is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Download statistics are kept for as long as they're useful for planning releases. Because they don't contain IP addresses or other direct identifiers, they can't be linked back to you.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data, to object to processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
